The axis of traction is always vertical and not horizontal and the sutures must always be made with the absence of traction. One must always respect the facial muscular force lines  and the superficial muscular and aponeurotic system (SMAS).

The operation working level may be deep or superficial. Deep involves skin, fat, periosteum or skin and SMAS. And superficial involves skin and fat.
